The all-new 2018 Honda Accord and the 2018 Civic Hatchback Sport, Si and Type R have been named to Car and Driver magazine’s 10Best list for 2018. The 10th generation Accord, dubbed by the experts at Car and Driver as “America’s Best Sedan” (November 2017 issue), benefits from the most radical redesign in the model’s 41-year history, including dramatic new styling, a more sophisticated and spacious interior and two all-new turbocharged powerplants. The Accord 1.5T launched on Oct. 18 and was joined earlier this month by the Accord 2.0T. The all-new 2018 Accord Hybrid will launch next year.

The Civic Sport Hatchback, Si and Type R are the latest editions to the 10th-generation Civic lineup, America’s best-selling car. The 306-horsepower2 Civic Type R is first Honda Type R sold in America and the fastest front-wheel drive production car around the famed Nürburgring circuit. The 10th-generation Civic Si Coupe, Si Sedan and Hatchback siblings also benefit from a completely reengineered body and chassis and new turbocharged engines, offering customers class-leading interior space and driving fun.

CRV HONORED AS MOTOR TREND 2018 SUV OF THE YEAR:

Motor Trend has named the ever-popular Honda CR-V as its 2018 SUV of the Year. The 2018 CR-V, which is the second model year of the completely reimagined fifth-generation of Honda's compact SUV, beat out 25 contenders in an exhaustive evaluation by 11 of Motor Trend's top editors, writers and testers. The refreshed fourth-generation Honda CR-V previously took home Motor Trend 2015 SUV of the Year honors.

"The Honda CR-V has earned its place as America's most popular SUV over the past two decades by providing customers with just the right balance of features, capabilities, fun-to-drive performance and outstanding quality." said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president of Automobile Sales & general manager of the Honda Division at American Honda. "We are incredibly honored to earn this recognition from the experts at Motor Trend in a very competitive and crowded field."

Calling it "the swankiest interior ever seen on the CR-V", Motor Trend chose the CR-V because Honda paid attention to a wide range of details including advancement in design, safety performance features, engineering excellence, efficiency and value. To be eligible for the Motor Trend SUV of the Year award, a vehicle must be "all-new" or "substantially upgraded" and have been on sale within 12 months from the previous November.

The 2018 Honda CR-V is manufactured at three Honda plants in North America: East Liberty, Ohio; Greensburg, Indiana; and Alliston, Ontario.  Its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and automatic transmission are manufactured in Ohio by the Anna Engine Plant and Honda Transmission Mfg., in Russells Point, respectively1. Honda has sold more than 4.2 million CR-Vs in America since its U.S. introduction in 1997, making it the top-selling SUV in America over the course of 20 years. The new CR-V has collected numerous other accolades including a Kelley Blue Book "Best Overall Buy" in the Small SUV/Crossover category, U.S. News & World Report's "2017 Best New Car for Teens" and Autotrader's "Must Test Drive" Award, as well as a top-in-segment score in J.D. Power and Associates' 2017 U.S. APEAL Study.

Bring Joy to Children Less Fortunate

Hendrick Honda is proud to join the U. S Marine Corps Reserve for the 9th year in a row to help the Toys for Tots Foundation collect toys for children who are less fortunate.

As some families struggle to bring joy to their children during Christmas, the Toys for Tots program asks for your help in collecting toys to be redistributed to these families.  The goal for Hendrick Honda is to support this program by filling up a vehicle on our showroom floor with new unwrapped toys.  Anyone can stop by our dealership and donate any new toy, large or small.  The key is to make this an enjoyable Christmas for as many Children in our local community as possible.

Due to the overwhelming donation of toys the past seven years, Hendrick Honda is thrilled to serve as a Toys for Tots drop off location for a 9th year.  Last year, vehicles on our showroom floor were filled to the brim with toys, and this year we would like to collect even more toys.  Please join us and the Marine Corps Reserve in supporting Toys for Tots by donating any new unwrapped toy to our dealership at 8901 South Blvd. from November 13th through December 16th, 2017.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 51(c) (3) tax exempt not for profit charity, is the authorized fund raising and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  The mission of the Foundation is to provide a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children during Christmas.  While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the Foundation’s success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of people who donate toys, and that’s why we at Hendrick Honda have joined this cause.

Hendrick Honda appreciates your continued support of this very worthwhile charity.
